Job summary

CareTech is recruiting a support worker in Dumfries/Cushathill to help young people with daily routines, school preparation, meals, and activities. This role includes sleep-ins and a 2 on 4 off shift pattern, with base pay plus sleep-in allowances, bringing overall earnings to around £34k–£36k per year.

• Provide emotional and practical support to children and young people with complex needs
• Help young people build independence, confidence and life skills
• Create a warm, homely environment with light housekeeping
• Build strong relationships and provide emotional support
• Plan and join activities like trips, games and creative projects
• Keep essential records to ensure high-quality care
