Job summary

CareTech in Dunscore is seeking compassionate carers to support young people in daily routines, education prep, and activities. You will provide nurturing, therapeutic care for children who have faced trauma, establishing trusting relationships and promoting positive outcomes.

Roles include 2-on/4-off shifts with overnight sleep-ins, requiring a full UK driving licence and PVG checks. A supportive induction, pension scheme and development opportunities are offered within a caring team.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children, young people or families is preferred.
• Warm, patient and a great listener, focused on achieving outcomes for others.
• Decided on a career in care and starting training or completed a related course is welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Support young people with daily routines, school/college preparation, meals and activities.
• Provide nurturing and therapeutic care to children and young people who have experienced trauma.
• Maintain records accurately using an electronic care recording system and keep them up to date.
