Job summary

Hightown is looking for a dedicated Support Worker for our Young People’s Housing Services in Radlett. This part-time role covers 22.5 hours per week and pays £16,110 per year (£13.77 per hour).

You will help young people, including separated migrant children, build confidence, life skills and greater independence. You will work day and evening shifts (7am-3pm and 2pm-10pm), must have a Full UK driving licence with business insurance and access to a vehicle, and you will need to obtain DBS

Qualifications

• Strong communication, record-keeping and organisational skills are essential.
• Commitment to starting a Level 4 or equivalent Diploma within one year of joining.
• Role involves working with young people aged 16 and 17 and maintaining professional boundaries.
• DBS Update Service is required; subscription cost reimbursed by employer.

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are looking for a dedicated Support Worker to join our Young People's Services team, supporting young people, including separated migrant children, to build confidence, develop life skills and achieve greater independence.

Essential Criteria

• Full UK driving licence with business insurance and access to a vehicle for business use
• Ability to work day and evening shifts (7am-3pm & 2pm-10pm) shifts, including weekends and bank holidays

This role involves working with young people, including those aged 16 and 17. The successful candidate must always maintain appropriate professional boundaries and understand their responsibilities in relation to positions of trust.

All appointments are subject to satisfactory right to work, enhanced DBS, reference and medical clearances. Successful candidates will be required to join the DBS Update Service, with the subscription cost reimbursed by Hightown.
