Linx is seeking a Youth Support Worker in Gloucester to help shape futures by providing a consistent, caring adult role model for young people in residential care. You will engage with residents through daily activities, emotional support, and structured routines, contributing to a safe and supportive home environment.
The role involves 8am–11pm shifts with 11pm–8am sleep-ins, including a probation period with a welcome bonus and opportunities for progression.

£30,890 to £31,700 per annum, inclusive of 8 to 10 sleep-in payments per month.

As a Youth Support Worker you will have the opportunity to support each young person and be the advocate to encourage the normal development of young people through providing a consistent caring adult role model. This could include;
We're looking for people who genuinely care and want to make that difference. Warm, patient, a great listener and encourager - focused on achieving outcomes for others. Taking pride in knowing you are helping to shape someone's life for the better. New staff must be comfortable using an electronic care recording system on a daily basis to document, monitor, and update children and young people’s records accurately. Experience with Clearcare is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided. However, all staff are expected to confidently use digital systems as part of their day-to-day role.
Each shift is 8am to 11pm – Sleep ins are 11pm to 8am
3 week rolling rota. (One day on, Two days off)
Week 1 30 hrs = 2 days working & 2 sleeps
Week 2 30 hrs = 2 days working & 2 sleeps
Week 3 45 hrs = 3 days working & 3 sleeps
