Job summary

The Cambian Group in Towcester is seeking a Children's Residential Support Worker to build trusted relationships with young people and provide a warm, supportive home environment. You’ll participate in 2-3 shifts per week, including sleep-ins, and support daily activities and education with a focus on empowering positive choices.

You will use digital records daily, join a two-week training program, and benefit from a consistent rota provided four weeks in advance, ensuring work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 21 years old.
• Full UK driving licence.
• No prior experience necessary, only a commitment and passion for working with young people.
• Attendance at a two-week training program is required.
• Must have availability for sleep-in shifts.
• Enhanced DBS covered.
• Comprehensive induction and training provided.
• Rota provided 4 weeks in advance.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional support during challenging times.
• Foster ambition in young people, assisting them in achieving goals.
• Offer support in the educational pursuits of young individuals.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare written reports for meetings as directed.
• Empower young people to participate in decisions about their lives.
• Act as an advocate in meetings where the young person is discussed.
• Encourage community engagement and attendance at off-site activities.
• Meet the needs of children and young people, organise social activities and home duties.
• Use an electronic care recording system daily; training provided for systems like Clearcare.
