Job summary

Aberlour Sycamore Services in Fort William provides residential care for children and young people aged 12–18, applying a Dyadic Developmental Practice approach to ensure safety and trauma-informed support. We are looking for a leader to contribute to the management and development of services, with shift patterns Mon-Fri 9–5, one back shift, and weekend on‑call rota every 5th weekend.

Candidates must have SCQF Level 8, register with the SSSC as Residential Child Care Worker with Supervisory

Qualifications

• Experience with children and young people in residential or community settings.
• Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council as Residential Child Care Worker with Supervisory Responsibilities.
• SCQF Level 8 qualifications (e.g. HNC, SVQ Level 4) required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop services for children, young people and families.
• Assist with service review and evaluation and support overall management.
• Work shifts Mon-Fri 9:00–17:00 with back shift (14:00–22:00) and a weekend on‑call rota (every 5th weekend).
