Job summary

Cambridgeshire County Council is recruiting a Youth Progression Adviser to support 15-18 year olds who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) or at risk of becoming NEET. The role is part-time (33.5 hours per week) but operates close to a full-time pattern, delivering tailored one-to-one guidance and practical steps towards education, employment or training.

You will work with schools, colleges, training providers and Job Centre Plus, and may cover other areas of the countywide

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored one-to-one support to young people aged 15 to 18 who are NEET or at risk of becoming NEET
• Help young people overcome barriers and build confidence
• Support young people into education, employment or training
• Work closely with schools, colleges, training providers, Job Centre Plus and other partner agencies
• Support other areas of the countywide service when required
