Job summary

Empowering Learning is partnering with a forward-thinking Academy Trust to recruit an Outreach, Engagement & Intervention Worker to join an exciting multi-hub Outreach Project supporting secondary schools across Mid and North East Essex.

This role begins with a 12-week temporary assignment through our agency, then transfers to the Trust's employment for the remainder of the fixed-term contract until 31 August 2028, at 37 hours per week, term-time only.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people to achieve positive educational and/or social outcomes.
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and inclusive approaches.
• Experience delivering effective one-to-one and small group interventions.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bespoke one-to-one and small group interventions for young people at risk of exclusion.
• Support schools in improving attendance, engagement and behaviour.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, families, school staff and external agencies.
• Deliver trauma-informed interventions that promote social, emotional and educational development.
• Provide practical advice and guidance to school staff to improve outcomes for vulnerable pupils.
• Monitor, review and report on the impact of interventions.
• Work independently across multiple school settings while maintaining strong collaborative relationships.
