Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Youth Engagement Officer for a role at a Bolton-based school dedicated to SEMH support. The position is temporarily to permanently arranged, with a November 2026 start and a July 2027 end date if needed.

The role suits a recent graduate or an experienced SEMH mentor who can work beyond classroom confines, supporting young people in the community. A vehicle and business insurance are required.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate with a 2:2 or higher.
• Experience of supporting/coaching children and young people in a UK setting is desirable.
• Up-to-date safeguarding training (issued in the last year).
• Ability to own a vehicle and obtain business insurance.

Responsibilities

• Support SEMH needs and engage young people in educational activities.
• Provide outreach and community-based support for students.
• Work in collaboration with school staff to promote a calm, positive environment.
