Job summary

Prospero Teaching in the Southampton area is recruiting experienced Mentors to provide 1:1 support to young people across Southampton and surrounding Hampshire areas. This role focuses on wellbeing, confidence, independence and personal development, and is delivered through tailored placements to meet individual needs.

Responsibilities include building positive relationships, developing self-esteem, encouraging engagement in activities, and supporting access to new experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience working within a UK educational setting.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Patient, empathetic and adaptable approach.
• Ability to provide professional references.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, trusting relationships with young people

• Develop social skills, communication and positive behaviours
