Job summary

Care in Mind operates residential services for young people aged 16-30, providing a therapeutic approach to help them achieve personal goals and prepare for transition to adult life. The role supports education, life skills, and daily living needs within a busy residential setting in Bromborough.

Applicants should be prepared for shift patterns, including weekends and bank holidays. Full training is provided, and DBS checks are required as part of the safeguarding process.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and bank holidays.
• Willingness to attend training throughout employment on weekdays.
• Good written skills to write basic reports and record information accurately.
• Basic IT skills: use online care system, complete forms, write emails.
• Good verbal communication and listening skills.
• Ability to maintain professional working boundaries.
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies and support others.

Responsibilities

• Promote independence by supporting education, household tasks and life skills.
• Assist with daily living activities such as shopping, meal prep and planning.
• Update online care records and administer medications as required.
• Manage varying levels of self-harm using a least restrictive approach.
• Ensure the home is tidy and provides a homely environment.
• Support activities and outings for young people and help with routines.
