Job summary

Everyturn Mental Health is seeking a Project Worker to support Children & Young People’s Services in Newcastle upon Tyne. The role involves delivering mental health and wellbeing interventions, including drop-ins, group work, and outreach, with a focus on youth voice and participation.

You’ll collaborate with families, schools and other professionals, ensuring safeguarding and accurate case notes. Evening/weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or NVQ Level 4 equivalent in youth work or related field.
• Experience delivering one-to-one and outreach work with 11-25 year olds.
• Ability to develop and deliver informal education sessions creatively.
• Familiarity with safeguarding, risk management, and maintaining confidential records.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a range of mental health and wellbeing interventions and education sessions.
• Cover sickness holidays and project work as a bank sessional worker at Westgate Road, Newcastle upon Tyne.
• Gather feedback from young people and incorporate it into service development.
• Work with parents, schools, social care and community organisations to provide holistic support.
