Job summary

Sheffield Diocesan Board of Finance (SDBF) invites applications for a Young Leaders’ Community Enabler to cover a 12‑month maternity leave. The role is 28 hours per week, four days with flexibility, based at Diocesan Church House in Rotherham with hybrid working.

The post sits in the Children, Youth and Families team and includes DBS checks, generous holiday entitlement, and a pro‑rata salary in the SDBF Band 5.1, around £26,000–£32,500 depending on FTE.

Responsibilities

• Grow, nurture and support a diverse community of young leaders (10–18s) across the diocese.
• Provide leadership opportunities for young leaders to speak, lead, plan and participate in decision making.
• Ensure safeguarding is adhered to across the Young Leaders’ Community.
• Advocate for children and young people within the diocese.
• Empower Young Leaders with training, guidance and opportunities.
• Coordinate in-person gatherings and provide resources for the YLC.
