Job summary

The Church of England in Sheffield Diocese invites applications for a Young Leaders’ Community Enabler based in Rotherham. The role is 28 hours per week, offering a hybrid working pattern and a non-contributory pension, with a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover starting early December.

The post supports the Diocesan Children and Young People’s work, enabling young leaders to participate in parish and diocesan mission, and to shape strategy with their voices. DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in youth ministry and leadership development.
• Ability to enable and nurture young leaders in churches.
• Experience working within diocesan structures (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Grow and develop the Young Leaders’ Community across the Diocese.
• Encourage and empower young leadership in churches.
• Help young voices shape strategy and participate in mission and ministry decisions.
