Job summary

Calderdale Youth Justice Service is recruiting a Quality Assurance and Improvement Officer to lead QA activity, monitor practice quality through audits, and analyze themes and trends across services for children, young people and families.

You will work with the Youth Justice Management Board and senior leaders to review policies, generate detailed reports, and drive learning opportunities. A recognised Social Care or Youth/Criminal Justice qualification and DBS clearance are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Youth Justice sector.
• Experience analysing performance and identifying good practice.
• Ability to produce detailed concise reports.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• DBS clearance before appointment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the quality assurance activity within Calderdale Youth Justice Service.
• Monitor quality of work by undertaking audits and analysing themes and trends.
• Identify actions and implement wider learning opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Youth Justice Management Board and senior leadership to review policies and procedures and provide detailed reports.
• Undertake thematic audits addressing key national issues and contribute to inspections.
