Job summary

London Borough of Redbridge is seeking a Youth Justice Education Officer to join the Redbridge Youth Justice & Targeted Prevention Service. The role focuses on providing education and support to children in the youth justice cohort, enabling progress in education, training and employment.

You will work within a multi-agency team, delivering teaching, engaging with children and families, and contributing to a range of YJS activities.

Qualifications

• Qualified to deliver Functional Skills teaching (Level 4 or equivalent).
• Excellent communication and assessment skills.
• Creative approach to engaging children in education within youth justice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group teaching, including Functional Skills provision.
• Participate in a wide range of YJS activities, individually and in groups.
• Engage with children and families, advocating their needs across platforms.
