Job summary

Connect2Luton is recruiting a Youth Hub Co-ordinator to lead the operational delivery of the Youth Hub for Luton Council. The role oversees 12-month pilot activities supporting 300 young people aged 16-24 who are NEET or facing barriers to progression.

You will manage two Employment Support Officers, coordinate a diverse partnership of over 15 organisations, and develop pathways to education, apprenticeships and work opportunities while contributing to inclusive growth priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing or coordinating youth or community programmes.
• Experience of performance monitoring, reporting and contract delivery.
• Experience of supporting individuals facing multiple barriers to progression.
• Experience of organising events, workshops and engagement activities.
• Experience of employer engagement and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the Youth Hub, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for young people, employers and partners.
• Coordinate delivery of the 12-month Youth Hub pilot, supporting 300 young people aged 16-24 who are NEET or facing barriers to progression.
• Provide leadership and supervision for two Employment Support Officers, including workload planning and wellbeing.
• Develop and maintain operational procedures, referral pathways and participant tracking systems.
• Engage young people with personalised support, action planning and employability interventions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with employers and anchor institutions for progression opportunities.
• Promote volunteering and community participation as pathways to employability and wellbeing.
• Lead performance management and quality assurance activities and reporting.
