Job summary

Blue Triangle seeks a dedicated Housing Assistant for our Falkirk youth service. You will work Monday–Friday on a 4-week rolling rota, supporting 16–25 year olds to access housing, skills, and independent living. You’ll engage with service users empathetically and uphold care standards.

The role requires compassion, flexibility, and the ability to work as part of a small team. A SVQ2+ and willingness to pursue SVQ3 are preferred, with training and development supported.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for helping people.
• 1 year of experience with vulnerable people or challenging behaviour (personal, voluntary or professional).
• Commitment to care practice per SSSC code of practice and National Care Standards.
• Ability to relate empathetically and support independence for service users.
• Flexibility and ability to work as a lone worker.
• Proficiency with Microsoft or equivalent applications.

Responsibilities

• Role is based at our Falkirk service and operates Monday–Friday on a 4‑week rolling rota.
• Support care and development of young people aged 16–25 to promote independence.
• Maintain dignity and respect, following relevant policies and procedures.
