Job summary

St Christopher's Fellowship is seeking an energetic, resourceful professional to manage challenging situations and support young people in a Lewisham-based supported accommodation home. You will motivate and guide residents, work with the team, and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed to promote safety and independence.

Qualifications

• At least three years' experience leaving-care/housing support for single homeless people or vulnerable groups.
• At least one year's experience managing and supporting professional staff.
• Understanding safeguarding and regulatory framework for residential services for 16+.
• Knowledge of issues leading to youth homelessness including alcohol/drug dependency and mental health.
• Knowledge of welfare benefits system and related agencies.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard young people through effective management strategies and collaboration with external agencies.
• Provide regular supervision and development for staff, sourcing/training where required.
• Ensure housing management policies, maximise income, manage licences and referrals.
• Maintain staffing levels through rota planning and recruitment within budgets.
