Job summary

Leicester City in the Community is seeking a Wellbeing and Engagement Mentor to support identified young people in mainstream education and alternative provision settings.

The role involves 1:1 and small group work, developing engaging resources, coordinating with external agencies, and monitoring progress with accurate data. Some travel across Leicester and Charnwood will be required, with occasional homeworking.

Qualifications

• Must satisfy relevant pre-employment checks including two current references relevant to the position and Enhanced DBS check
• Ability to travel independently across the city and county
• You may be required to work outside of normal office hours, at evenings and weekends

Responsibilities

• To work 1:1 or within small groups with identified young people in order to re-engage them within education and improve in the areas in line with programme outcomes.
• To work alongside outside agencies to create and offer well rounded support designed to improve identified issues
• To develop and deliver high quality resources and sessions
• To support the development of a range of intervention sessions that seek to engage, enthuse and raise aspirations ofyoung people
• To monitor the progress of the project to ensure all data is accurate and appropriately managed
• To contribute to internal and external monitoring reports in a timely manner to a high standard with detail and accuracy
