Job summary

Weston College Group is seeking an Engagement and Transitions Officer to support NEET young people into education, training and employment pathways. This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week, with on-site interviews at one of our Weston-super-Mare campuses.

You will build strong partnerships with DWP, local councils, youth services and community organisations, and manage referrals from initial enquiry through to enrolment while promoting safeguarding and inclusion across the college

Qualifications

Experience working with young people, particularly those who are disengaged or NEET.
Experience working with external partners or community organisations.
Understanding of barriers to participation and strategies to support re-engagement.

Responsibilities

Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with external partners including DWP, local councils, youth services, and community organisations.
Proactively engaging NEET young people through targeted outreach approaches, including community-based activity, events and partnership-led initiatives.
Representing the College at multi-agency meetings and local forums to promote provision and strengthen referral pathways.
Generating and managing a pipeline of referrals into NEET provision, supporting individuals from initial enquiry through to enrolment.
