Job summary

Weston College Group in Weston-super-Mare is seeking an experienced Head of NEET Prevention and Engagement to lead a proactive, inclusive provision and drive strategies to re-engage learners, support attendance and progression. This full-time role (37 hours/week) is on-site at one of our Weston campuses, with responsibility for quality, performance, staffing and continuous improvement of the provision.

Qualifications

• Level 4 Teaching Qualification.
• Leadership, management, youth work, careers, SEND or education qualification.
• Successful leadership and management within education, training, youth engagement or a related service.
• Experience of designing and improving programmes for young people who face barriers to participation or are at risk of becoming NEET.

Responsibilities

• Lead a responsive, ambitious and inclusive NEET Prevention and Engagement provision with high expectations and high support.
• Ensure programmes are well designed, effectively delivered and focused on re-engagement, personal development, attendance, achievement, progression and sustained destinations.
• Be accountable for quality, performance, staffing, resources and continuous improvement of the provision.
• Use evidence, learner information and partnership intelligence to shape the offer and strengthen the College's approach to preventing NEET.
