Job summary

Youth Connect South West (YCSW) in Bath is seeking an Engagement Worker for the Targeted Support Team. This fixed-term role runs until May 2027, with potential extension subject to future contracts.

You will provide practical and emotional support to young people facing barriers such as family difficulties, mental health challenges, or disengagement from education or work. Based at Southside Youth Hub, Bath, you will build relationships, assess needs, and coordinate multi-agency support.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people through challenges and barriers.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and policies.
• Ability to assess needs, write plans and manage a caseload.
• Commitment to inclusion and ensuring opportunities for all

Responsibilities

• Build positive and trusting relationships with young people.
• Assess needs and develop tailored support plans.
• Act as Lead Professional and coordinate multi-agency support.
• Deliver one-to-one interventions.
• Support young people into education, training and employment.
• Work with families, schools and partners for best outcomes.
• Maintain records and contribute to safeguarding processes.
