Job summary

Christian Action Housing in Enfield is seeking a Youth Coach to support young people aged 16-24 in our Supported Housing service. The role focuses on coaching for independent living, wellbeing, and pathways to education, employment and housing resilience.

You will build relationships with residents and professionals, lead life-skills workshops, and help with rent, benefits, and Universal Credit. The post is full-time, permanent, based in Enfield (EN3).

Qualifications

• A proven track record of enabling young people to achieve their goals.
• Resilience and flexibility in the way you work with others.
• A positive outlook with the determination to succeed.
• Coaching skills.
• Experience of working with safeguarding legislation and how it relates to working with young people and vulnerable adults.
• Ability to work with figures in order to advise on benefit claims and rent accounts.
• Experience of working in a busy environment and the positivity to take on new challenges.

Responsibilities

• Coaching young people to achieve independent living skills and move on from the service.
• Using a range of methods to get results and carry out essential life tasks.
• Engaging young people in education, employment and training.
• Building strong relationships with young people and external professionals.
• Develop, lead and support life skills workshops with the engagement team.
• Help residents with housing management, rent payments and benefits.
