Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a Youth Development Lead for a maternity-cover role. The post coordinates delivery partners and volunteers, trains staff, and ensures compliance with funding requirements. Hybrid working is available with three days on-site, plus local travel within the area.

You will lead employability sessions, support local delivery plans, and foster partnerships while maintaining accurate records and safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Experience engaging groups of disadvantaged youth
• Ability to build effective partner networks
• Strong accuracy in recording information and data

Responsibilities

• Recruit, welcome, train and manage delivery partners and volunteers
• Provide partners and volunteers with training, resources and guidance on quality standards
• Ensure partners and volunteers follow Trust policies and compliance requirements
• Act as first point of contact for partners' and volunteers' concerns and issues
• Record accurate data on young people, volunteers and partners in line with funding contracts
• Deliver employability skills sessions or Enterprise Challenge programme
• Lead sessions with young people when needed
• Support local delivery plans and equality, diversity and inclusion goals
• Build relationships with external partners and identify opportunities for new partnerships
• Facilitate best practice sharing, networking sessions and end-of-programme events
• Travel within the local area to support programme delivery and visits
