Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a tutor for InspireU in Lincolnshire on a fixed-term, 30-hour contract. You will deliver employability and development sessions to learners aged 16 to 24, teaching Entry 1 to Level 2 and the RARPA curriculum, with adaptable teaching to meet individual starting points.

The role supports safeguarding and requires fluent English. Hybrid working and site travel are part of the job, with DBS checks and eligibility to work in the UK expected.

Qualifications

• Behaviour management skills essential.
• Growth mindset and solutions-focused approach.
• Ability to travel between sites as required.
• Fluent spoken English in line with Fluency Duty.

Responsibilities

• Deliver employability and personal/social development sessions to learners aged 16–24.
• Deliver preparation-for-adulthood sessions building skills for adult life and progression to work.
• Teach qualifications from Entry 1 to Level 2.
• Deliver the RARPA-based curriculum (non‑accredited learning).
• Adapt teaching to learners’ starting points and keep learning active.
• Carry out departmental duties one day per week.
• Travel to other sites when required.
