Job summary

YMCA St Paul’s Group in London seeks a dedicated role supporting young people and families within our community services. You will create a nurturing environment, plan activities, and help participants build confidence and essential life skills.

Working with a diverse team, you will ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection practices while engaging with partners and local families to deliver inclusive programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people and communities.

Responsibilities

• Create a supportive environment for young people, actively encouraging their holistic development and positive self-image.
• Actively helping young people work towards their individual goals.
• Preparing activities explicitly tailored for youth centre users.
• Take responsibility for opening and closing the facility when required.
• Ensure best practices for First Aid, Health and Safety, Safeguarding, and Data Protection procedures.
• Ensure strict adherence to best practices for First Aid, Health and Safety, Safeguarding, and Data Protection procedures.
• Actively seek opportunities for networking and outreach with partners and young people in the community.
• Utilize monitoring and evaluation systems to record and track young people's attendance and critical contact information.
• Work with other YMCA St. Paul's Group departments, utilising facilities and offices.
• Develop positive relationships with the team and the wider YMCA group.
• Planning and evaluating youth activities, focusing on prime areas, specific areas, and Characteristics of Effective Learning.
