Job summary

Waythrough is seeking a Young Peoples Criminal Justice Worker to support children and young people involved with Youth Justice Service across County Durham. The role is based primarily at Saddler House, Bishop Auckland, with travel to partner sites and occasional evenings/weekends to meet service needs.

You will conduct assessments, manage caseloads, deliver one-to-one and group interventions, and provide harm reduction guidance.

Qualifications

• Experience with children, young people and families, including those with complex needs.
• Experience undertaking comprehensive assessments and implementing care plans.
• Ability to produce clear written records and reports using case management systems.

Responsibilities

• Undertake comprehensive assessments of children and young people supervised by the Youth Justice Service.
• Manage caseloads with assessment, care planning, risk management and aftercare.
• Provide one-to-one and group therapeutic interventions as appropriate.
• Deliver harm reduction advice and education on drugs and alcohol to young people.
• Collaborate with parents, carers, families and partner agencies for coordinated support.
• Travel across County Durham to meet service needs and provide outreach and in-reach support.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in multi-agency meetings and reviews.
