Job summary

Tamfol is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide mentoring and essential assistance to children and adults in a nurturing environment. You will help develop skills and confidence while promoting safety and inclusion.

The role focuses on personal care, education support, and collaborative work with families and carers. The ideal candidate has at least 6 months of experience teaching or facilitating learning activities and a genuine passion for mentoring young people.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to teach or facilitate learning activities effectively.
• Experience in supporting children with diverse needs is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships.
• Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding and child protection policies.
• Enthusiasm for mentoring and supporting young people’s development.

Responsibilities

• Offer personalised support and guidance to children, fostering their social, emotional, and educational development
• Assist with daily activities, including organising educational and recreational programmes
• Mentor children through various tasks, encouraging independence and confidence
• Support behavioural management strategies in line with organisational policies
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure the wellbeing of each child
• Implement tailored teaching methods to meet individual needs
• Maintain accurate records of progress and activities undertaken with each child
• Contribute to creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children
