Job summary

YMCA North Staffordshire is seeking a Casual Contract youth worker to support 10-16-year-olds (up to 25 for SEND) in Edinburgh House, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent and other community settings. Deliver fun activities across cooking, music, digital, arts, sports and games, run youth clubs, community sessions and detached youth work, and help deliver trips, events and pop-up activities.

An ideal candidate will be positive, enthusiastic, creative, adaptive and non-judgemental.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people or within the community.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work flexibelly, including evenings, weekends and school holidays.

Responsibilities

• Delivering fun activities (cooking, music, digital, arts, sports and games).
• Run youth clubs, community sessions and detached youth work.
• Help deliver trips, events and pop-up activities.
• Build positive relationships with young people, parents and community partners.
• Support young people to develop confidence, skills and independence.
