Job summary

Carers Trust Crossroads West Wales seeks a motivated Young Carers Education Development Officer to deliver the Fair Futures for Young Carers programme across Carmarthenshire. You will work with schools and education partners to improve identification, understanding and support for young carers, ensuring their voices influence school practice and services.

Willingness to travel across Carmarthenshire and deliver training is essential; Welsh language skills are desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people, families or education settings.
• Confidence delivering training, workshops and awareness sessions.
• Strong communication and partnership-building skills.
• An understanding of the challenges young carers face in education.
• Good organisational, reporting and IT skills.
• The ability to travel across Carmarthenshire.
