Job summary

Lancashire County Council's Young Adults Team is seeking a Team Manager to lead practitioners as young people transition from Children’s Services into Adult Social Care, ensuring high-quality practice and positive outcomes for families.

You will provide visible leadership, oversee complex casework, and supervise staff while working with partner agencies to drive service development and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and communication skills, sound professional judgement.
• Ability to support staff in busy, complex environments.
• Experience of multi-agency working and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide confident, visible leadership to a team of practitioners.
• Promote high-quality, strengths-based, person-centred practice.
• Oversee complex casework, safeguarding and risk.
• Support staff through supervision, development and reflective practice.
• Manage competing operational priorities and monitor team performance.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Adult Social Care, Children’s Services, SEND, Health and other partners.
• Build strong relationships with young people, families and professionals.
• Contribute to service development and continuous improvement.
