Job summary

University Academy Long Sutton is seeking a Year Leader to join the Pastoral Team. This non-teaching role focuses on behaviour, welfare and the academic progress of pupils within a designated year group, working closely with pupils, families and staff to remove barriers to learning.

The successful candidate will mentor tutors, monitor data, and foster a positive ethos of high standards, with opportunities to travel or relocate support if needed.

Qualifications

• Manage the behaviour, welfare and academic achievement of pupils within a designated year group.
• Lead a team of tutors to promote high standards of behaviour, attitude and learning culture.

Responsibilities

• Regularly analysing data to inform proactive and reactive interventions, mentoring and pastoral support.
• This is a full-time, non-teaching role, providing the successful post-holder with the opportunity to work closely with pupils without a teaching responsibility.
