Tarmac in Mountsorrel is offering a Year in Industry placement in Land and Natural Resources. Join the team to support mineral and land development, planning consents, and landlord-tenant relationships while gaining hands-on experience.

You'll participate in a corporate graduate program, develop professional skills, and contribute to the sustainability and financial performance of our land assets. Hybrid on-site and remote work is available within the Mountsorrel area.

Responsibilities

• Support mineral and land acquisition and development with Regional Head of Estates and Estates Managers.
• Understand and work to planning consents for mineral working, ancillary, and added-value operations.
• Support rental enhancement and built development opportunities, ensuring planning and tenure compliance.
• Gain insight into land and mineral ownership, landlord-tenant relationships, and town & country planning policy.
• Manage landlord and tenant relationships.
• Prepare and review planning applications, including consultant reports.
• Write clear and concise reports.
• Identify opportunities to enhance financial returns from property assets.
• Assist with development of Tarmac’s Electronic Property Information System.

Our Tarmac Land and Natural Resources team is recruiting a Year in Industry Placement Student to join us at our Mountsorrell office 'The Hub' for a 12 month placement. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in responsible land management and contribute to the future sustainability of our business.

• Working closely with the Regional Head of Estates and Estates Managers to support mineral and land acquisition and development.
• Understanding and working to planning consents for mineral working, ancillary, and added-value operations.
• Supporting rental enhancement and built development opportunities, ensuring compliance with planning and tenure agreements.
• Gaining insight into land and mineral ownership, landlord-tenant relationships, and town & country planning policy.
• Managing landlord and tenant relationships.
• Preparing and reviewing planning applications, including consultant reports.
• Writing clear and concise reports.
• Identifying opportunities to enhance financial returns from a diverse range of property assets.
• Assisting with the development of Tarmac’s Electronic Property Information System.
