Job summary

Edwards Vacuum in Bristol is offering a Year In Industry placement for 12 months. You will work with experienced colleagues, take on real responsibilities and contribute to meaningful projects that complement your studies.

Qualifications

• The ideal placement student should be able to design, build and operate experiments in an experimental lab.

Responsibilities

• The role requires an ability to work in an industrial lab environment and observe Edwards EHS rules and guidelines.
• Analytical chemistry tasks including installation of test gases, leak checking of test equipment, analysis of gases using FTIR, mass spectrometry and electrochemical cells; data analysis and reporting.
• Contribute to innovative technology development or product improvement; perform risk assessments on prototype equipment or lab test rigs; interact with team members.
• Collect data and write detailed reports; present results concisely and clearly.
