Job summary

Wickersley Partnership Trust is seeking a Non-Teaching Assistant Head of Year for Clifton Community School to lead pastoral support for a specific year group, ensuring safeguarding and strong welfare. You will coordinate interventions, monitor progress, and liaise with families to remove barriers to learning.

The role is permanent, 37 hours per week, term-time plus inset days, with a focus on ensuring every child feels safe and ready to learn within a supportive school environment.

Responsibilities

• Intervention & Progress: Assist the Head of Year in planning and delivering targeted interventions, monitoring student progress, and preparing evidence for reviews.
• Behaviour & Support: Proactively monitor behaviour trends and support teaching staff in managing incidents to maintain a positive learning culture.
• Mentoring: Provide direct mentoring to students with identified needs, helping to remove barriers to learning and facilitating access to alternative support where necessary.
• Liaison & Admin: Coordinate home-school links regarding student progress and attitude, and assist with statutory processes including Pastoral Support Plans, EHCP contributions, and transitions from Alternative Provision.
