Job summary

SANZA is recruiting a Year 6 Teaching Assistant for a supportive Islington primary school. You will back pupils across Upper KS2, working closely with the class teacher to reinforce English and Maths, manage behaviour, and foster a nurturing learning atmosphere.

The role offers a long-term, full-time pathway with daily hours from 8:30am to 3:30pm, starting 5th October 2026 or sooner, in a welcoming Islington setting.

Qualifications

• Experience working with KS2 pupils, particularly Years 5 and 6.
• Strong English and Maths knowledge.
• Excellent classroom support and behaviour management.
• Nurturing, patient and proactive approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school staff.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have previous experience working with Year 5 and/or Year 6 pupils, alongside strong core subject knowledge in English and Maths. You will be confident supporting learning, building positive relationships with pupils and working effectively alongside the class teacher.
