Job summary

Long-Term Teachers Ltd Bridgwater, Somerset is seeking a Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join a KS2 class from September in a full-time role. The post supports a 2 form entry primary school focusing on an inclusive curriculum and engaging classroom activities.

Responsibilities include working with the Class Teacher to provide 1:1 and group support, assisting with SATs preparation, and creating a safe, patient and creative learning environment for pupils’ development.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Year 6 or KS2 curriculum.
• Ability to deliver interventions for pupils working below expected.
• Work as part of a Year 6 team to support SATs preparation.
• Full-time role from September.

A Primary School in the TA5 area of Somerset is currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to work within a KS2 Classroom from September.

This 2 form entry school is very passionate about the curriculum they have developed and designed to meet the needs of their children, providing an inclusive environment for their learning.

The Role

This role is to start from September on a full-time basis. You will be expected to work closely with the Class Teacher and team around you to work with children in groups and on a 1:1 basis to support development and understanding of core subjects and interventions.

Working with Year 6, they will be preparing for their SATs, so an understanding of the curriculum is required to deliver interventions with children who may be working a little lower than expected.

You will be expected to:
