Academics LTD, a Doncaster-based teaching agency, is supporting a local primary school with a temporary full-time Year 6 teaching role for the summer term, starting after half-term in June 2024, potentially extending for a full term or longer. The school values a warm, caring, nurturing, and sensitive individual committed to helping children reach their full potential.
The position involves working collaboratively with another class teacher on Thursdays and Fridays, with responsibilities including planning, marking, assessing, attending meetings, and engaging in wider school community activities. Up-to-date knowledge of the KS1 curriculum is essential; experience working with Year 1 pupils is desirable.
The school is centrally located in Doncaster with good transport links. It offers a traditional curriculum complemented by enrichment activities, fostering a happy, active, and inclusive learning environment. The classes are mixed to ensure full curriculum coverage and to support pupils at different levels.
