Job summary

Premier Education is partnering with a welcoming primary school in Levenshulme, Manchester, to appoint a Year 6 Teacher for Autumn 2, 2026. The role is full-time and long-term, teaching a Year 6 class, with responsibilities to plan engaging KS2 lessons and prepare pupils for SATs.

The successful candidate will be experienced, organised and confident in their teaching, with strong behaviour management and high expectations for pupils. DBS on Update Service preferred.

Qualifications

• QTS is required.
• Strong KS2 / Year 6 teaching experience is essential.
• Confident classroom practitioner with good behaviour management.
• High expectations of pupils.
• Organised, reliable and able to hit the ground running.
• Two suitable references required.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Full-time teaching across a Year 6 class.
• Plan and deliver engaging KS2 lessons.

Start Date: Autumn 2, 2026

Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term

Year Group: Year 6

Pay - £130 - £170 per day

Premier Education is working with a welcoming primary school in Levenshulme who are looking for a strong and experienced Year 6 Teacher to join them from Autumn 2.

This is a great opportunity for a teacher who is confident leading a Year 6 classroom and can hit the ground running. The school are looking for someone who is experienced, organised and confident in their teaching, with a good understanding of the expectations and demands of the final year of primary school.

The Role

• Full-time teaching across a Year 6 class
• Planning and delivering engaging KS2 lessons
• Supporting pupils to make strong progress
• Preparing pupils for the expectations of Year 6 and SATs
• Managing the classroom confidently and positively
• Working closely with colleagues and the wider school team
• Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and learning

We're Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong KS2 / Year 6 teaching experience
• A confident classroom practitioner
• Good behaviour management skills
• High expectations of pupils
• Someone organised, reliable and able to hit the ground running
• Two suitable references
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

ECTs with strong KS2 experience are welcome to apply, although the school are particularly keen to hear from experienced Year 6 teachers.
