Job summary

Senploy is seeking an experienced Year 6 Primary Teacher to join a welcoming primary academy in Coventry, CV2. The role focuses on delivering high-quality Year 6 lessons and supporting KS2 SATs preparation.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the Year 6 team to strengthen pupils' knowledge, monitor progress and deliver targeted interventions, with evidence-led teaching and strong behavior management.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Strong Year 6 teaching experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent understanding of the KS2 curriculum and SATs expectations.
• Confident delivering high-quality English and Maths lessons.
• Experience preparing pupils for end-of-Key Stage 2 assessments.
• Strong classroom management and assessment skills.
• Ability to quickly establish positive relationships and contribute from day one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective teaching across the Year 6 curriculum.
• Support the core curriculum offer, particularly English and Maths.
• Help pupils develop knowledge, skills and confidence for KS2 SATs.
• Identify gaps in learning and deliver targeted teaching and interventions.
• Use assessment information to monitor progress and adapt teaching.
• Support pupils of varying abilities, including those with SEND.
• Work collaboratively with the Year 6 team and senior leadership.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and pupil progress.
