About this Role

Yorkswood Primary School is on an ambitious journey of rapid transformation. Our community deserves an outstanding school, and with a visionary leadership team in place, we are determined to deliver it. We are seeking a dedicated, high-performing Year 6 Teacher to join us each morning to deliver high-impact core learning during a pivotal year in our pupils' primary education.

We are moving away from traditional, high-stakes classroom monitoring. Instead, we invest heavily in our staff through a robust culture of instructional coaching, deliberate practice, and evidence-informed research. Whether you are looking to bring your Upper KS2 expertise to a flexible morning role or take the next step in your teaching career within a highly supportive environment, Yorkswood is where you belong.

What We Offer You
  • Elite Professional Growth: A bespoke induction program featuring regular instructional coaching to rapidly refine your craft.

  • Pro-Rata Protected PPA Time: Dedicated PPA time alongside the Year 6 teaching team to protect your workload and allow space for effective planning and assessment.

  • Expert Mentoring and Support: Weekly mentoring and coaching tailored to your professional development and Year 6 priorities.

Who We Are Looking For
  • A passionate practitioner with strong subject knowledge and high expectations for pupil achievement, behavior, and routines in Year 6 / Upper KS2.

  • A teacher who can inspire confidence in pupils as they prepare for end-of-key-stage assessments and secondary school transition.

  • A deeply coachable mindset—someone who welcomes regular feedback and is eager to develop.

  • Intellectual curiosity regarding cognitive science and evidence-backed teaching methodologies.

We encourage you to visit our school before applying.
