Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Enfield. You will support Year 6 pupils with targeted interventions and mentoring as they prepare for SATs and the transition to secondary education.

This role is full-time, term-time only with immediate start options. You will work closely with the class teacher to identify gaps, promote confidence and resilience, and help pupils reach their potential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary-aged children.
• Experience delivering interventions or small-group support.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Patient, nurturing and proactive approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS via the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• The Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support Year 6 pupils in class and small-group interventions.
• Deliver targeted literacy and numeracy interventions.
• Provide mentoring and pastoral support to help pupils develop confidence.
• Identify learning gaps and support progress with the teacher.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Assist pupils in preparing for SATs and the transition to secondary school.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families.
