Job summary

First for Education are seeking a Year 6 Teacher for a Primary School on the outskirts of Kidderminster. This short-term position runs until October half-term, offering a supportive, well-structured environment and a focus on pupil progress.

The role requires QTS, UK primary school experience (ideally upper KS2), strong knowledge of the curriculum, and a proactive, safeguarding-focused approach with DBS updated service or willingness to apply.

Qualifications

• QTS required and experience teaching in a UK primary school, ideally upper KS2.
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and ability to plan/deliver differentiated lessons.
• Proactive, reflective practitioner with safeguarding commitment and DBS checks.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the primary curriculum.
• Differentiate teaching to meet a range of learning needs.
• Monitor, assess and track pupil progress.
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCO and leadership.
