Job summary

Queensway Infant and Junior Academies are seeking a Classroom Assistant to support Year 6 pupils in a busy, progressive trust school in Norfolk. The role is part-time (35.5 hours/week over 5 days) across 39 teaching weeks, with a November 2026 start date.

You will assist in delivering targeted learning and interventions, including SEND and EAL support, under teachers' direction. The position offers pro-rata pay on a Scale C, generous terms, and opportunities for professional development within

Qualifications

• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age.
• Experience of supporting learning through interventions.
• First Aid training.

Responsibilities

• Support Year 6 pupils under supervision of teaching staff.
• Undertake care and learning programmes, including SEND/EAL support.
• Perform assessments and speech-language interventions.
• Assist teacher with classroom management and learning access.
• Support breakfast club activities.
