Job summary

Cape Primary School in Smethwick is seeking a dedicated Year 6 teacher to cover during a colleague's maternity leave. You will join a supportive team committed to safeguarding and inclusion. Start date December 2026 or sooner.

The role requires an enhanced DBS and satisfactory references in line with KCSIE. The school values resilience, kindness and independent learning within the Cape Eight Values framework.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS clearance and satisfactory references are required.
• Fluent command of English is essential.
• Fixed Term Contract – Ending 31st August 2027.

One of our wonderful year 6 teachers is having a baby and so we need to appoint an equally wonderful person to teach her year 6 children whilst she is away.
