Job summary

Veritas Education is recruiting for a Year 5 Class Teacher in Clitheroe for a maternity cover from September 2026 to February 2027. The role is full-time on a M1-M6 pay scale, within a welcoming primary school in Ribble Valley.

The successful candidate will deliver an ambitious Upper KS2 curriculum, build strong relationships with pupils, families and staff, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Year 5 or Upper Key Stage 2.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, progress and achievement.
• Differentiate to meet SEND and diverse learner needs.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Promote confidence, independence, respect and a love of learning.
