Job description

Smile Education are currently recruiting on behalf of a primary school based in Erdington for a part-time Year 5 class teacher.

Role and responsibilities:

1. Working in partnership with an experienced class teacher to teach a class of year 5 students on a part-time basis.
2. Plan effective and engaging lessons for the whole class – planning responsibilities will not be in full due to job share.
3. Managing and supervising individual and classroom behaviour.
4. Creating and maintaining a strong parent partnership.
5. Providing effective feedback to learners and their families.
6. Completing development reports and assessments, monitoring children’s progress.

What will you require?

1. A valid and relevant UK QTS.
2. Experience teaching within upper KS2 (Year 5 or Year 6) and have good knowledge of the curriculum.
3. Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with your job share teacher.
4. A bubbly, positive manner with dedication to teaching.
