Job summary

Academics is seeking a dedicated Year 5 teacher to join a 2-form entry primary school in East Leeds. This long-term post runs from after October half term 2026 to the end of the academic year, with salary aligned to the school's pay policy.

You will plan and deliver engaging KS2 lessons, differentiate for a range of abilities, collaborate with year group colleagues and support SEND/EAL pupils, building strong relationships with pupils, parents and the wider school community.

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS or equivalent.
• Proven KS2 classroom experience.
• DBS on update service or willing to apply.

Job description

Academics are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 teacher to join one of their 2-form entry primary school in East Leeds. This is a long term position starting after October half term 2026 until the end of the academic year.

The ideal Year 5 teacher will:

• Hold QTS or equivalent
• Have proven classroom experience, ideally in Key Stage 2
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of strategies for supporting SEND and EAL pupils
• Be committed to ensuring every child reaches their full potential
• Have DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
