Lantern Lane Primary and Nursery School is seeking a Year 5 Class Teacher for a January 2027 start. The role welcomes ECTs and offers full-time fixed-term employment from January to August 2027.

You will join a caring and friendly school community with a strong curriculum, enrichment in PE and music, and excellent pupil behaviour. The school values staff wellbeing and professional development within a supportive team.

Hours: Full-time

Contract: Fixed term – January to August 2027

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Year 5 Class Teacher to join our team at Lantern Lane Primary and Nursery School. Our school has a high-quality curriculum with amazing enrichment activities in PE, music and more. We have fantastic grounds and a supportive local community on our doorstep! We are very proud of the consistently good outcomes for our pupils and their excellent behaviour and attitude to learning. Our links with parents & carers, as well as the local community, are a real strength.

We know that happy and motivated staff are essential to a successful school. That’s why we are always looking at ways of ensuring staff workload is manageable and provide a range of professional development opportunities. We’d like to think we all have a pretty good sense of humour too!
